- The updated AT-877 complete tripod kit is designed for today's Digital and Conventional cameras. Lightweight and compact, the AT-877 offers rock steady support for high quality imaging. Includes an off-set ball head as well as quick-action levers for fast set-up and breakdown. Three section tripod legs permit a folded length of only (23.4 in - including the head) due to it's unique leg design which allows the legs to be folded shorter than conventional designs, making the AT-877 ideal for fitting into luggage once on location. The AT-877 extends to (62.3 in). It weighs a mere (6.2 lbs) and can support digital (and film) cameras up to (8.8 lbs). In addition, the innovative three faceted center column design prevents any unwanted column rotation and is reversible for low-angle shots. A carry bag with shoulder strap is also included. AT-877 off-set ball head DynaTran® Off-Set Ball Heads are distinguished for smooth operation and solid locking capabilities. The rotating conical opening provides a broad range of movement which would be otherwise impossible with conventional heads (including the ability to point down beyond 90°). The graduated base, which features an independent lock, permits perfect panoramic positioning as well as the ability to be used for table top or near ground level work. A friction control wheel lets you regulate the power of the blocking mechanism to match the weight of your camera/lens. The ball grip head is made for lightweight performance, and is designed to keep the weight of your kit as close as possible to the tripod's centre of gravity by way of its reduced height. This, matched with the precision construction of the AT-877 head, gives the head its load capacity (8.8 lbs). Complete with built-in bubble spirit level and quick release camera plate the head is suitable for use with digital, 35mm or medium format cameras. High-density foam rubber leg protectors are added for comfortable handling.
